<p>Конкурс ролевиков, где команды выбирают себе какие-то роли, хоть исторические, хоть современные и играют в этой роли на протяжении всего конкурса, а потом жюри оценивает эту игру и самую лучшую команду награждает... И было на том конкурсе кроме всех остальных команд - команда из 5 девчонок-вампирш и команда двух парней - Бивиса и Батхеда - два придурка из мультиков и с канала MTV. И вот на поляне как-то встретились эти две команды.</p>
<p>Девчонки: Бойтесь нас! Мы Вампирши!!!</p>
<p>Бивис: Гг... Кто это?</p>
<p>Батхед: Гг... Девчонки.</p>
<p>Бивис: Гг... И че говорят?</p>
<p>Батхед: Гг... Говорят, что сосут.</p>
<p>Все кто слышали этот диалог, чуть ли в истерике не бились! Первое место тогда получила именно эта парочка.</p>

В самой первой редакции D&D не было хит-пойнтов. Гэри Гайгэкс и Дэйв Арнесон создали этот продукт, как банальное расширение для варгейма (тактическая игра с управлением целыми отрядами) “Chainmail”. Благодаря этому дополнению в средневековом мире этой игры появились различные мифические чудовища и магия. Ну а потом, Гэри и Дэйв решили, что было бы круче и гораздо интереснее, если игроки будут управлять не отрядами, а отдельными персонажами. Тут и начались проблемы. Игроки долго создавали своих персонажей, придумывали им истории, а потом умирали буквально от одного удара какой-нибудь мега-крысы в подвале. Даже если они могли убить эту крысу, никто не гарантировал, что они переживут и вторую. Поэтому, нужен был какой-то показатель, который вроде как бы и убивал игроков, но по частям. До “D&D” эта парочка уже работала над “Ironclads” — игрой, в которой моделировались сражения кораблей в Гражданскую войну. Там тоже корабли не погибали от первого же попадания, а могли выдержать достаточно большое количество повреждений, “накапливая” входящий урон. Правда, для своей игры они позаимствовали механику из цикла игр “The Fletcher Pratt Naval War Game”, которые в тридцатые годы XX века разработал Флэтчер Пратт. Как вы можете догадаться по названию, в этой системе тоже речь шла о кораблях. Вскоре выяснилось, что подобная “система здоровья” очень позитивно влияет на игру, делая битвы отдельных персонажей куда интереснее и неожиданнее. Поэтому её использовали и в последующих редакциях “D&D”, а уж оттуда она перешла в компьютерные игры.
